He Never Lets Go

Matt Redman

Those who know your name
trust in you ,
for you, O Lord,
have never abandoned anyone
who searches for you.
Psalm 9:10 NLT

What promise! He never leaves us. He loves us so much. What else can we do but trust? He never lets go! Check out the words to You Never Let Go, a popular contemporary Christian song by Matt Redman. Powerful words! I love what he said about this particular song he wrote....
There are times when everything in life seems to be breaking and shaking apart, and that age old Psalmist cry of ´How long O Lord, how long?´ is echoing through your soul. It´s in seasons like those where we need to find something firm to stand on. For as real as these struggles are, there´s an even greater reality we can connect with, the wisdom, power and love of our amazing God. In our darkest moments He´s as kind, caring and in control as He ever was. The song for us was a really a way of reminding ourselves that there´s a God who never lets go us, through the times of calm, and the stormy times...remain on the paths of trust and praise. Our God never let go of us, and if we´re wise in worship, we´ll never let go of Him.

You Never Let Go ( Matt Redman)
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I’m caught in the middle of the storms of this life
I won’t turn backI know
You are near
And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?
Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let goLord,
You never let go of me
And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We’ll live to know
You here on the earth
Yes, I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You,
Still I will praise You
