If I speak in the tongues
It is much easier for us to help persons suffering from natural disaster and world hunger, but when it comes to giving and showing compassion to the sinner, the person lost and without hope, who may have actually brought on troubles themselves, let's face it, we are prone to think well, they made their bed, now let them lie in it.
Loving the unlovable does not come naturally. It is only possible when we ask God to fill us with the compassion He has. Only then can we demonstrate love in the face of sin.
Every person is created, valued, and loved by God. Everyone deserves the opportunity to hear about Jesus' love and forgiveness.
of men
and of angels,
but have not love,
I am only a resounding gong
or a clanging cymbal.
1 Corinthians 13:1
A topic of discussion I had today with other Christians ...

Listen.
Respect.
Listen.
Look for commonalities.
Listen.
Then share.
Christians must remember that their job is not to convince the lost to change but, rather, to point them to the One who can change their heart - Jesus Christ. Only the Holy Spirit can convict an individual of sin, and change the heart. We are not responsible for some one's salvation. But, we are responsible for loving others and sharing our hope...Jesus Christ.
